A New Benchmark

After the installation of the new air conditioning system at a cost of circa $3 million by the building owners in 2013, the estates office towers hit a coveted 4 Star NABERS rating in 2014, making the complex one of the few rated strong environmental performers in Western Sydney.

Further actions were undertaken by the building owners and building management over 2014 and 2015, and Gateway managed to achieve further savings to hit a 4.5 Star NABERS rating onsite. This represents a significant environmental saving of approximately 86,000kwh of electricity between the 2014 and the 2015 Calendar Years alone.

More importantly, large economic savings to tenants have been achieved on the outgoings which have helped offset the energy cost increases impacting on businesses.
